In 2023, I presented my own projects at Shenzhen Design Week, showcasing an original installation and a collection of bamboo-based designs developed within a research program funded by the Fujian Province. Created in collaboration with Artop Design.

The works included innovative fitness equipment and pet tools, all conceived and designed by me. The exhibition explored the potential of bamboo in contemporary design, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality.

This is an adaptive footwear system that I designed to support the demanding tasks of manual workers. The project is part of a research on data-driven process that I  presented at Xarts conference at the University of the Aegean in June 2025, focusing on the applications of advanced design processes  within the broader framework of contemporary design methodologies.

in 2017, i exhibited SoLong!, a modular sofa system at Nilufar gallery in Milano. An ultra-lightweight, reconfigurable seating system, allowing for versatile arrangements that adapt to different spaces and uses, combining comfort, flexibility, and contemporary aesthetics.

This concept series of music boxes and acoustic resonance amplifiers has been designed by me within my course on developing new technological products from data to prototype. The project applied data-driven design processes to generate concepts and prototypes, optimizing acoustic performance through resonant cavity design.

The projects stem from research on expanding sneaker design processes within the broader framework of design for health and well-being. These prototypes are exploratory applications developed as part of a research on design process applications,  investigating how advanced methodologies can inform product innovation in the healthcare domain.

Tessera is a dinner table composed of a central base built on four bent wooden elements. Structural stability and ergonomic measures allow you to comfortably accommodate up to nine people. Presented at the Milan Furniture Fair 2023 with Al2.

This is a permanent exhibition at the Bamboo Institute Museum in Shenzhen, where my fitness equipment and pet tools are part of the museum’s collection. The products originate from research commissioned to Artop Design by the Fujian Province.

The works explore the potential of bamboo in contemporary applications. In addition to the products, my team contributed to defining the overall layout of the museum, integrating design and spatial organization into the visitor experience.

This is a commissioned series of LED lamps designed for a private client based in Syros. The project explores the transparency and light diffusion properties of different types of marble and mineral composites, framed within a metaphysical-inspired aesthetic. Each piece investigates the dialogue between material depth, illumination, and sculptural presence.

This is a series of stylistic reinterpretations for motorbikes, developed from a previous broader research project for Artop Design focused on defining a short-term international design style language. The process integrated trend analysis, data analysis, text mining, and image analysis, followed by concept generation using AI.

These examples demonstrate how the methodology can be applied to motorbike design, translating emerging aesthetic directions into tangible product concepts.

This is a series of reinterpretations of advanced wall-mounted EV fast-charging units, developed from a previous research project I led for Artop Design. These devices are rapid-charging wallboxes (electric vehicle supply equipment, or EVSE), for efficient vehicle power delivery.

The process leveraged data collected during my in-depth study on charging infrastructure, incorporating generative AI for concept evolution. The resulting designs illustrate how AI-generated variations can enhance functionality and aesthetic in fast-charger form factors.

In balance between contemporary and primitive, Wood.oo chair keeps the comfort of an armchair and the look of a wooden chair, exploring with shapes the possibilities given by plywood and CNC technology. As part of a mystical liturgy of nowaday daily life, it asks to be observed and touched within the framework of its living environment’s rituals…

With this stainless Damascus steel knife, designed by me and crafted by master Luca Pizzi, I won the Artigianato e Design contest in 2017, chaired by Riccardo Blumer. The competition was organized by the CNA of Bergamo. The design, inspired by the infinity symbol, offers a continuous surface to showcase the distinctive textures of Damascus steel craftsmanship.

This is a series of footwear projects developed for a research on Generation Z design characteristics that i did for Artop. Created entirely by me, the Colorholes concepts originate from a data-driven analysis of cultural phenomena combined with computational image analysis and generative AI.

This is a series of headset concepts alternating virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) functions, developed as a reinterpretation of a previous research project commissioned by Artop Design for the development of AR glasses for the client Oppo.

The designs explore hybrid immersive experiences, integrating ergonomic considerations, advanced optics, and a contemporary design language to bridge the gap between digital and physical environments.

Wood.oo is a bistrot table for horeca sector, composed of a metal base in which two tubes support a double-element wooden top that can be customized with various materials and colors.

This is a series of earset concepts integrating advanced technologies, including 5G wireless connectivity, assistive hearing enhancement for people with hearing impairments, and active noise-cancellation for work environments.

The concepts reinterpret previous models designed for Artop Design, exploring how emerging technologies can be embedded into wearable devices that combine functionality, comfort, and contemporary design language.

Woo-Moon is the set of coffee tables from the Wood-oo series. Inspired by the shapes of the moon, it is characterized by pure, round shapes that juxtapose different materials.

This is a speculative design project envisioning a world where nomadic settlement is the standard form of living. From this premise, it explores future scenarios for hybrid mobility solutions and emerging technologies.

The works are part of the material from my  course on stimulating creativity for digital nomads, using mixed AI–human methodologies, generative design, and cognitive heuristics. The project aims to expand conceptual boundaries, encouraging innovative thinking about mobility, infrastructure, and adaptive lifestyles.

This is a modular acoustic system presented at Ventura Lambrate during the Fuorisalone in Milan, 2017. The project features playful, sound-absorbing modules designed to create potentially infinite and varied compositions. The system combines functional acoustic performance with a flexible configuration logic, enabling unique arrangements tailored to different spaces and aesthetic contexts.

These are concept examples of technical contract chairs designed for Artop Design as part of a project for a hotel chain in the Fujian region of China. The designs combine structural and aesthetic elements in bamboo with advanced high-tech components, creating a balance between traditional materials and contemporary functionality.

Presented at the Milan Furniture Fair 2022, Doric is a bookcase inspired by the shapes, rhythms and details of Doric architecture. Designed according to the principles of Design for Disassembly, it is composed of modular elements that can be connected to give rise to different configurations.

Nihil, from the Latin “nothing” ironically alludes to its opposite. Full of games of staggered planes, cnc excavations in which handles are hidden and optical illusions of staggered metal elements that combine to define a design that is minimal in appearance and articulated in detail.

This is a series of speculative drone-based mobility concepts, developed as part of the material for my course on smart and speculative mobility. The project explores future transportation scenarios where autonomous aerial systems integrate with urban and interurban mobility networks.

Through conceptual design, it investigates potential applications, technological requirements, and the impact of drone mobility on infrastructure, user experience, and urban planning.

Kahal is a solid wood dining table that plays on the inclinations of the different elements to create joints and details. It is made of different types of wood and three different types of tops.

Ply is a seating system made entirely of bent plywood, composed of only three types of elements. Its stylistic identity lies in the separation of the seat into two parts. This solution makes it possible to create typological variants without producing additional elements.

Each variant is stackable, can be integrated with padding, and can be fitted with an armrest designed according to the same principles as the other elements.

Designed for Matter of Stuff

This is a series of toiletries tools in bamboo designed for Artop Design as part of a project for a hotel chain in the Fujian Province, China. All models were conceived and designed by me, and prototyped by Artop Design.

Free cage is an alluminium lamp presented at the Thessaloniki design week 2019. Designed according to harmonic principles, it is an interactive “internet of things” installation, technologically advanced and equipped with sound and position sensors. It changes colors and light intensity according to frequencies and vibration produced by the sound of a tibetan bell.

“We, sailors and prisoners, will be increasingly caught up in this vast network of tangible and intangible entities. We will be more and more inside a prison with open cages, and we will be like those birds that no longer flee from their cage even the doors are open.

Prisma is a table inspired by mineral geometries, featuring a base in bent and painted iron wire and a marble top. Designed to be under the Mediterranean sun, it was part of the Free Cage installation presented at the Thessaloniki Design Biennale in 2019.
